The Journey to Redefining Fulfillment Processes

“Our order planning process relied mainly on the expertise of our planners and area-based planning process, which was time-consuming, people dependent and not always accurate,” said Dr Rao. He noted that Landmark Retail’s Home Delivery Operations (HDO) is undergoing a digital transformation journey to improve overall productivity.

As a part of this journey, the group placed a request for a proposal (RFP) to implement suitable planning solutions.

Why Landmark Group Chose Locus:

The group deployed Locus’s Order Management and Route Planning solutions across all GCC countries in three months.

By automating the planning process, manual dependency was reduced by 80-85%.

“Locus’s planning tool is a great enabler in generating automated plans within a few minutes,” Dr. Rao said.

By conducting multiple on-ground warehouse visits, Locus gained a detailed understanding of the operations and delivered features that were crucial in improving fleet utilization and last-mile productivity by 4-5%.

“We are pleased with the seamless deployment, thanks to the support from the Locus team. All feature enhancements, or service requests, were promptly addressed, allowing an efficient post-deployment journey,” said Dr Prakash Rao.

Locus promptly addressed the few challenges with geocoding accuracy and system integrations, thanks to the strong governance mechanism in place, including:

  • Weekly Twice team connects
  • A bi-monthly steering committee meetings with senior management
  • A dedicated support team
