MILPITAS, Calif., Oct. 07, 2025: Locus, a leading logistics technology company, has been acquired by Ingka Investments, the investment arm of Ingka Group, which operates over 600 customer meeting points across 31 countries. Locus will remain operationally independent within Ingka Group, retaining its brand and leadership, while continuing to grow its services for partners beyond Ingka Group. This approach supports ongoing innovation and growth for both companies and contributes to IKEA’s broader digital transformation, helping make shopping and delivery even smoother for customers.
What began as a collaboration to transform IKEA home-delivery operations has evolved into a strategic acquisition. After an extensive evaluation of logistics software worldwide, Ingka selected Locus for its platform's strength in combining advanced route optimization, real-time visibility, and smart use of vehicles and resources. Combined, Ingka Group’s global scale and Locus’ technology will enable faster, more reliable, deliveries for IKEA customers.
