What is Warehousing?
The process of storing goods in a safe and secure environment before they are made ready for distribution is known as warehousing. Warehouses take stock of quantity goods when they arrive, keep a track of where they are located in the warehouse and for how long they need to be stored.
There is pressure on supply chains to fulfill orders faster than ever before, and warehousing logistics can help with this. In some cases, the order fulfillment process is carried out very quickly, in others warehouses are used for long-term storage. Typically warehouses store products until the order is placed online and is then shipped directly to the customer. Long-term inventory storage is more common in traditional retail.
